Bat Talks and Walks

July 1, 2021 @ 6:45 pm - 9:45 pm

Delta Yolo bats flying across the sunset sky

Starting July 1 through September 25
Days and times vary

Learn about one of the Delta’s amazing migratory species! One of the largest colonies of Mexican free-tailed bats takes up residence under the Yolo Causeway during the summer. Learn about these beneficial creatures in an online presentation in advance of your view date and then head out on a tour to watch them in action as they stream out just after sunset. You will have your own socially-distanced Pod Square for viewing.

Each Pod Square will be $50 and can have up to 4 people (not including those 3 years old or younger). Once you register for your Bat Walk date, you will receive an email with a link to register for your virtual Bat Talk. The Bat Talk is included in your registration. You may purchase up to 2 Pod Squares per transaction. Visit the Yolo Basin Foundation website for more information and to register.
