Heritage Day 2019

Group of people sight seeing over hills

Take a hike, participate in activities, and gaze upon the stars! Visit the John Marsh Stone House, home to the first Euro-American settler in Contra Costa. Free activities for kids such as rope-making and leather stamping. Join Ger Erickson and Harry York for a hike to see stunning views of the State Park and the surrounding hills and later get a close view of the starry skies of the night with astronomer Jeff Adkins. Activity time varies.

Itinerary
2PM-6PM Free kids activities
3PM-5PM 90-minute hike with Ger Erickson and Harry York
4PM-6PM Lunch (featuring tri-tip sandwiches or hot dogs)
6:30PM-8:30PM View the night sky with astronomer and teacher Jeff Adkins
