DESCRIPTION:Join Cosumnes River Preserve docents on a guided 3.5-mile hike along the River Walk Trail and discover the natural and cultural history of this unique landscape. \n \nThis hike will take you back to the days when the Plains Miwok inhabited the lands surrounding the Cosumnes River. Along the way\, you’ll learn about the plants and animals they interacted with and the unique ways they utilized the land as part of their everyday lives. \nThe route covers approximately 3.5 miles on relatively flat terrain. Participants who do not wish to complete the entire distance may turn around at any time. This is a great family-friendly activity for all ages! \nPlease dress for the weather and wear sturdy walking shoes. DESCRIPTION:Enjoy a leisurely paddle while watching the sunset behind Mt. Diablo. The Antioch Recreation Department will launch from the Antioch marina with destination dependent on tides. There will be many creatures who call the Delta home such as beavers\, river otters\, mink\, turtles and multitudes of waterfowl including heron\, egrets\, hawks\, osprey\, and owls. This tour is great for both beginners and experienced paddlers. All minors must be accompanied by an adult. Separate registrations for each participant required.) \nRegistration is required and is on a first come\, first-serve basis. Payment is due at the time of registration.
