Feel free to bring a picnic blanket\, low-seating chairs\, and your lunch to watch the competition. On Saturday and Sunday\, food and drinks will be available for purchase. A special demonstration on sheep shearing and wool spinning will also be held on Saturday and Sunday. The Dunes are home to the endangered Antioch Dunes evening primrose\, the Contra Costa wallflower\, and the Lange’s metalmark butterfly. Put on your hiking shoes and grab your water bottle to explore the only wildlife refuge in the country that has been established to protect endangered plants and insects. \n10:00 AM (1-1.5 hour walk).
