Through Time and Tule: A Delta Meadows History Walk in Locke

Take a trip back through time and tule with a State Parks interpreter at the Delta Meadows Park Property! Meet in the Delta Meadows parking lot at 9 a.m. before stepping back in time along our Railroad Trail.
You will hear about the various figures that have shaped Delta Meadows throughout its history, including Chinese immigrants from Zhongshan, the Southern Pacific Railroad, the rancher and millionaire George Locke, early settlers and trappers from the Hudson Bay Company, and the Junizumne tribelet of the Sierra Miwok, who inhabited the area originally for thousands of years and whose ancestor continue to live in the surrounding communities.
