Join the Carquinez Model Railroad Society for Steel in Motion, our August Open House celebrating the excitement of modern railroading.
Watch long intermodal trains, modern freight service, passenger operations, and a variety of contemporary railroad equipment as our members demonstrate how today’s railroads keep America moving.
Whether you’re a lifelong railfan, introducing your children to the hobby, or simply looking for a unique weekend activity, Steel in Motion offers something for visitors of all ages. Club members will be available to answer questions, explain how the railroad operates, and share the craftsmanship behind the layout. Be sure to stop by our club store to browse model railroad supplies, books, and railroad-themed items.
