Duck in the water

View spectacular species of birds at the Cosumnes River Preserve. The preserve docents have rows of scopes set up so no need to bring binoculars. The Cosumnes River Preserve is a perfect scene to check out colorful ducks, geese, and interesting shorebirds such as Black-necked Stilts and Common Snipe. Plus, you’ll get more insight on what these birds feed on in the waters such as sand fleas and dragonfly nymphs.
