Enjoy at 2.5 mile hike through the Delta Meadows Park Property along its Railroad Trail and hear about the people and institutions that have shaped area history, including Chinese immigrants from Zhongshan, the Southern Pacific Railroad, the rancher and millionaire George Locke, early settlers and trappers from the Hudson Bay Company, and the Junizumne tribelet of the Sierra Miwok, who inhabited the area originally for thousands of years and whose ancestor continue to live in the surrounding communities. Meet at 9 a.m. at the Delta Meadows parking lot, 13971 River Rd, Walnut Grove.
At noon, meet at the porch of the Locke Boarding House Museum (13916 Main St., Walnut Grove) for a Locke History Tour.
