Have you ever gazed up at the birds in sky and imagined what they must have seen? Join Parks staff at 9 a.m. for a Delta Meadows Birdwalk to learn more about some of California’s last remaining wetlands and the birds that call them home! Be led by a State Parks interpreter through the oak woodlands and marshes of the California Delta, hear about how these endangered habitats provide critical support for birds and other animals, and see some of the many majestic birds of the Delta.
Meet at the Delta Meadows parking lot for a 1-mile hike that will take approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. Please bring a good pair of shoes, comfortable clothing for the weather, a bottle of water, and, optionally, binoculars. Entrance to Delta Meadows and participation in the program are completely free! Open to birders of all ages and skill levels!
