Boating in the Delta abounds with opening day celebrations and and fishing derbies like the popular Rio Vista Bass Festival and Derby help every year since the 1940s. Creek Week and the yearly Delta Waterway Cleanup offer a chance to give back. Then, every November, when the Sandhill cranes return to the Delta, Lodi holds a celebration of this amazing bird with the Lodi Sandhill Crane Festival.
