Delta Cycling
Cycling may be the next best thing to flying, and is a great way to get in touch with the nature that surrounds you.
Whether you ride, watch, or volunteer at events, there is something for everyone! Delta Cycling events occur throughout the year. AMGEN, the Delta Century, and the Sacramento Century all make their way through parts of the California Delta.
Rent a bike, or print out a tour map. Set off on an adventure and explore the Delta on a bicycle…maybe even one built for two. Check VisitLodi.com for suggestions on great biking routes, including one that involves a train ride!
The California Association of Bicycling Organizations also has great resources for riding through the Delta region. With its flat land, light traffic on side roads, and views for miles, cycling in the Delta is a great way to explore. The Great California Delta Trail has miles of trails already in use and more in the works in the years to come.
